One of the best things about living in Portland, OR is having such easy access to the Oregon Coast. There’s nothing quite like this coastline- miles and miles of rugged pristine wilderness that meets the Pacific Ocean. Perhaps the most famous spot to visit on the coastline is Haystack Rock. It’s known the world over, and even for those that have never heard of it, its image may still be familiar. This image is even more iconic than its name. At sunset, photographs line up with their cameras and tripods to capture it at its best. When you’re visiting the Oregon Coast, Haystack Rock is a must see. There are so many options for beach rentals, it can be hard to know where to stay when visiting Haystack Rock. What better way to experience it than a front row seat?
There are so many things about this beach house that I love. First and foremost, the views! Whether you’re relaxing in the living room, sitting down with family and friends to dinner, or watching sunset from the back deck, the views of the beach and Haystack Rock do not disappoint.
The house offers modern convenience with quaint coastal charm. The bathrooms and kitchen are recently updated with quality remodeling. I loved making all our meals on vacation from the well-equipped kitchen. You don’t have to worry about bringing anything other than fresh ingredients to cook with. There are even plenty of spices. The bathrooms both have beautiful glass and tile walk-in showers, and the main bathroom has a refinished clawfoot tub which is perfect for a relaxing bath.
The yard is large with beautiful landscaping. There is a private walkway to the beach directly from the yard. It entrance to the beach is fairly close to Haystack Rock, so it’s easy to walk down at low tide and check out the tide pools with your family. Or you can walk to Cannon Beach and grab a mocha at Sleepy Monk or a beer at Pelican Brewery.
Above all, the thing I love most about the beach house is how easy it is to truly relax when I’m there. Nothing beats the therapeutic sound of the ocean. I can sit with my coffee and watch the ocean and beach and unwind.
