Long Weekend

fall transition

Summer seems to have flown by. It always feels like it comes and goes quickly in Portland, given that our “rainy season” is normally about 8-9 months out of the year. It’s still very warm outside, though, so I am loving this versatile silk skirt since it’s great for hot weather but still has hints of fall with it’s color scheme. This skirt is an excellent transition piece for fall, as it can easily be paired with a cozy sweater and ankle boots when temperatures cool down. This is also a great skirt to wear to work with a nice shirt and flats. I paired it here with a simple white tee, jean jacket, and boots for the perfect look for strolling around Portland’s lovely tree-lined NW 23rd Ave. This is exactly what I plan to do with my long weekend. Relax and enjoy beauty of summer in Portland.

This summer has been busy, but mostly in a good way. Summers in Oregon tend to be very busy since it’s always the nicest time of year. I’m definitely looking forward to things calming down in my schedule. This weekend will be all about enjoying my favorite summer time activities like sailing and BBQ’s. What are your plans for the long weekend?
